FAQ
The Sequential Art Society (or SAS), is a student run academic club at the Savannah campus of the Savannah College of Art and Design. We are the official academic club for the Sequential Arts major at SCAD, but our membership and meetings are open to all students. We offer advice, critique, resources, and connections for students during their time at SCAD and after graduation.
The Sequential Art Society club meets every Sunday during SCAD's quarters from 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm on campus and virtually through zoom.
Nope! Our club is open for you to engage with as much or as little as possible, but we do love to see so many faces at our meetings!
Our meetings are always recorded! If you happen to miss a meeting, you can check our recorded meetings archive.
Possibly! Talk to your professors to make sure. Most Sequential Art professors recognize our club meetings as ELOs, but it's always better to make sure!
Showing up to in-person meetings is always a great way to get involved and meet your peers! You can also take advantage of virtual options like our club discord server and our zoom meetings. We occasionally host opportunities for club members to get together outside of club meetings, and we will post announcements for these opportunities in our discord server. Beyond that, the club also occasionally opens officer applications which current enrolled students of the Savannah campus at SCAD can apply for.
Of course! Our club officers and board members are available for questions whenever you might have them! Feel free to reach out to them over Discord, or you can talk to any of our officers in-person before and after our meetings!
